Market Conclusions

The former CIS market (Russian speaking region) has a population of nearly 300 million (150 million in Russia) and is a key global regional market. The West continues to impose sanctions on Russia, and the European Union decided on June 19, 2015 to extend the sanctions for Russia for six months until the end of January 2016. The EU's sanctions include restrictions on investment and trade in the communication industry in Russia. The Russian communication industry will experience a significant market gap as Western companies withdraw their investments, and the threshold for Chinese small and medium-sized enterprises to enter the Russian market will be greatly reduced. Authoritative data shows that the demand for electronic information products in the Russian market is 8.5 billion US dollars, while its domestic market can only provide about 2.5 billion US dollars, and the rest needs to be imported. The demand for communication equipment ranks first, with approximately 3 billion US dollars. The bilateral economic and trade relations between China and Russia are steadily developing. Currently, European and American companies have significantly reduced their market investment in Russia. Russia's trade dependence on China is becoming stronger, and it has maintained rapid growth for eight consecutive years, reaching a new historical high for seven consecutive years. Currently, Russia is China's eighth largest trading partner, and I am Russia's third largest trading partner. Among exports to Russia, electromechanical and high-tech products have the largest growth. As an important partner of the "the Belt and Road" strategy, the Russian market has great potential and development prospects.

SVIAZ ICT 2024

Due to policy and monetary reasons, the Russian market has been continuously shrinking since 2014 after a three-year explosive period of 10-13 years. Currently, based on foreign trade export data and feedback from Chinese companies, stimulated by market demand, Russian orders have shown significant signs of recovery since mid-2016. After more than two years of demand backlog, it can be predicted that the Russian market will become more active from 2017 to 2019.

Subsidy Support for Key Projects
SVIAZ ICT 2024
The Russian speaking market [Russia], as the main market area of China's "the Belt and Road" strategy, China's support in investment and export finance and taxation will become stronger and stronger. SVIAZ ICT, as an exhibition conference project of cooperation between the "Ministry of Communications of Russia" and the "Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China" at the level of national ministries and commissions, has been confirmed to receive subsidies for exhibition projects in several major domestic information product export provinces and cities.
